The Women's Advocacy Mentoring Group (WAMG) is a student-led initiative that supports and champions female and gender-diverse law students to thrive in law school and pursue advocacy. Founded at the Australian National University in 2025, WAMG focuses on building confidence and practical advocacy skills through mentoring, skills development, and peer support.

In partnership with the Australian Law Student’s Association (ALSA), we expanded our program nationally and started an exciting new chapter, kicking off with a launch event in Sydney on 26 March.

WAMG is not just aimed at developing advocacy skills. We run events, connecting law students with legal professionals, including Q&A sessions, panel events, coffee catch-ups and more! We believe in mentorship and inspiring law students to find their voice, feel supported, and realise their potential.
